We spend so much energy concerned about what others say and think or what they may say and think.
It’s a waste of time. No matter what we do in an effort to control what others say and think, they still get to decide.
Despite our best efforts we truly have no control over other people’s thoughts and actions. None.
We think we do because we may have been told, “don’t hurt their feelings’ or ‘you’ll make her cry’ or ‘won’t she be happy when you give her your gift.’
As Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
You could certainly adjust that to anything that we think other people are making us feel.
No one can make you feel unlovable without your consent.
No one can make you feel angry without your consent.
No one can make you feel offended without your consent.
Let’s choose to think those things that are going to feel better!
I believe in you! You’ve got this!
