There are three pre-requisites to doing the work of feeling better. We must desire to feel better, we must have hope for a better tomorrow, and we must be willing to do the work. Winston Churchill said, “Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential.” This applies in the work of grief too. Don’t give into the false idea that time heals all wounds. It’s time and effort that lead us to feeling better along the way and ultimately to healing from the pain of grief.
