Ep #98 Mindfulness

julie cluff, build a life after loss podcast ep #98 mindfulness

In the timeline of our life, a devastating loss can cast a shadow over our past, present and future. As we learn to be more present in the here and now we can start rebuilding by paying attention to the small moments of peace and happiness. Being present is not just being attentive in the moment, it also involves being there for ourselves, allowing our emotions and learning about how our emotions can give us clues to our thoughts. When we are there for ourselves, we build understanding, which leads to compassion for ourselves. When we have compassion for ourselves, we are much more likely to be willing to work through our heavy emotions and come to a place of peace.

Recently, I got this note from someone who just finished reading my book Miracles in the Darkness. “Wow! I love it! You did a wonderful job putting all that emotion and information into words. What a great resource for anyone dealing with any kind of loss.” I’m grateful to share this book with you and I hope that it will be a resource of hope for you, your family, and your friends.
